230695 Tutorial: Introduction to Literary Analysis and Interpretation (Tut) (SoSe 2025)

Contents, comment

This is the tutorial accompanying the lecture “Introduction to Literary Analysis and Interpretation”.

In this tutorial you will have the opportunity to clarify questions about the content of the lecture and the aims of Literary Studies as well as to review elements, terms, concepts and theoretical approaches introduced in the lecture. I will provide you with various literary texts and exemplary text excerpts to discuss and dissect in order to practice your analysis and interpretation skills. You will read and discuss texts - in the broadest sense of the term - using essential literary terminology and approaching the texts from different perspectives grounded in literary theory. In addition, the tutorial will also help you with questions about academic writing and the process of writing your term paper.

The tutorial is offered twice a week in order to give as many students as possible the opportunity to participate. The same content is covered on both days. You can therefore choose one of the two dates that fits better into your weekly schedule.
