This class prepares you to do action research at school during your practical term. We will discuss all the elements of action research that you would need to do a study project about ELT at secondary schools (GymGe/HRSGe), if you choose to do so. This includes formulating a research question, choosing a method and instrument, and finding related literature. Special attention will be paid to identifying your own personal interests. We will also talk about how to structure and write a study project.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
This seminar needs to be completed before the practical term. It is followed by the BPS during your practical term that ends with the RPS after your practical term.
