230018 Sprachgebrauchsmodellierung mit dem Rational Speech Act Framework (S) (WiSe 2023/2024)

Wie kommunizieren und interpretieren Gesprächspartner:innen im Dialog Informationen und Bedeutung unter Berücksichtigung des Kontexts? Das _Rational Speech Acts_ Framework (RSA) ist eine relativ neue computational-probablistische Theorie des Sprachgebrauchs, die es ermöglicht, Phänomene der Pragmatik zu Modellieren und dabei Unsicherheiten zu berücksichtigen.

Im Seminar werden wir die grundlegenden Texte zur Theorie lesen, und uns ansehen, wie sie genutzt wird um z.B. Implikatur, Referenz, Metapher, Höflichkeit oder Ironie zu modellieren. Des Weiteren beschäftigen wir uns mit der Anwendung von RSA-inspirierten Ideen in der computerlinguistischen Verarbeitung und Generierung von Sprache, sowie den Grenzen der Theorie und der Frage, ob Interaktion ein geeigneter Mittel ist um sie zu durchbrechen.
