Das Seminar diskutiert deutsche Geschichte (wenn möglich, mit und in ihren globalen Bezügen) von den 1920er Jahren bis in die jüngere Zeitgeschichte anhand von Filmen. Es geht zum einend arum, wie (und welche) Dimensionen von Gleichheit und Ungleichheit im Film repräsentiert und verhandelt werden. Zum anderen interessiert generell, wie Film als Medium zum Aushandeln von Geschichtsprozessen genutzt wurde. Schließlich diskutieren wir methodische Probleme bei der Filmanalyse. Wie sehen wir, was hören wir, welche Rolle spielen Licht und Musik für die Gestaltung sozialer Beziehungen und die Deutung und Repräsentation von Geschichte?
Das Seminar findet am Freitag 14tägig und vierstündig statt (8-12). Die erste Sitzung findet in der ersten Semesterwoche statt und ist in dieser ersten Woche nur für zwei Stunden angesetzt (8-10 h).Den genauen Zeitplan werden wir in dieser Sitzung festlegen, aber geplant ist, in der Regel mit einem zweiwöchigen Rhythmus zu arbeiten.
