230081 El insomnio de Bolívar – Literatura mexicana en el contexto del Bicentenario (S) (WiSe 2012/2013)

Es propósito de este seminario el estudio de los discursos actuales acerca de la identidad latinoamericana. En los festejos del Bicentenario en 2010 México conmemoró dos fechas sumamente importantes para la identidad nacional: 200 años del inicio de la independencia (1810) y 100 años del inicio de la Revolución mexicana (1910). Frente al discurso oficial que se caracteriza por la mitificación de hechos y protagonistas históricos, varios escritores e intelectuales mexicanos han abierto un debate crítico.
Entre otros, analizaremos dos obras ensayísticas de Jorge Volpi y Carlos Monsiváis. Mientras que Volpi reflexiona sobre el sueño de una América Latina unida y libre, Monsiváis esboza la dystopia del bicentenario de la desaparición de la antigua humanidad en 2210. Se aunarán la novela histórica de Héctor Zagal – La cena del bicentenario (2009) - y el cómic Historias desconocidas de la independencia y la revolución (2010) de TRINO.

Conocimientos básicos del español. Los textos únicamente son disponibles en la versión original.
Es obligatorio leer el texto de Volpi para la primera sesión del seminario. Se puede pedir el texto p.ex. en la librería La Rayuela en Berlín: www.la-rayuela.de.
