Aufbauend auf dem Grundlagenseminar Forschungsmethoden in der empirischen Fremdsprachenforschung (MaDaFGer-FAM) werden in diesem Projektseminar mit Forschungsprakikum Kenntnisse der interpretativen Fremdsprachenforschung vertieft,
das Verfahren des Narrativen Interviews sensu Schütze (Erhebung und Auswertung) mit seinen theoretischen Grundlagen vorgestellt sowie exemplarisch angewendet und diskutiert. In betreuter Gruppenarbeit und ergänzt durch Sitzungen mit Forschungswerkstätten werden sodann Forschungsarbeiten geplant, narrative Interviews erhoben, die Daten aufbereitet und analysiert. Die letzte Sitzung dient der Präsentation der Forschungsprojekte und ihrer Ergebnisse.

In diesem Projektseminar mit Forschungspraktikum wird nach einer Einführungsphase in betreuten Kleingruppen ein forschungs-Mini-Projekt in all seinen Phasen durchgeführt und am Ende des Semesters präsentiert.
Die Arbeit in den Projektgruppen verlangt von allen Beteiligten sehr viel Eigeninitiative und Kooperationsbereitschaft. Der Arbeits- und Zeitaufwand ist im Vergleich zu üblichen Lehrveranstaltungen außergewöhnlich hoch. Neben den eigentlichen Seminarzeiten (1 LP = 30 Stunden) und den Zeiten für das Selbststudium (1 LP = 30 Stunden) schlägt die Einzelleistung (eigenes Forschungsvorhaben) mit 6 LP (120 Stunden) zu Buche.
