Zu den gängigsten und am meisten verbreiteten Vorurteilen gehört zweifellos, selbst keine Vorurteile zu haben. Die europäische Aufklärung setzt sich massiv mit den religiösen, politischen, ethnischen, kulturellen, moralischen u.a. Vorurteilen auseinander und produziert eine ganze Reihe von neuen (was Horkheimer und Adorno einst die "Dialektik der Aufklärung" genannt haben).
Das Seminar((mit laufenden Leistungskontrollen über das System Blackboard) wird versuchen, diesen für die heutige Zeit grundlegenden Prozeß an klassischen Texten (Kant, Montesquieu, Voltaire, Lessing) zu erarbeiten.
