Spricht man von Erziehung, denkt man im Allgemeinen zunächst an die Personen, die an diesem Prozess beteiligt sind: an jene, die erziehen und an jene, die erzogen werden, also an Eltern und Kinder sowie Lehrkräfte und Schüler*innen. Blickt man dagegen aus soziologischer Sicht auf das Verhältnis von Erzieher*innen und zu Erziehenden, stellt man fest, dass soziale Rahmenbedingungen, gesellschaftliche Entwicklungsprozesse, organisationale Besonderheiten und überindividuelle Interaktionsmuster in hohem Maße auf den Erziehungsprozess Einfluss nehmen und deshalb unbedingt zu reflektieren sind. Ziel des Seminars ist es, ein soziologisches Verständnis von Erziehung zu entwickeln, um die Teilnehmenden in die Lage zu versetzen, Einzelsituationen zu analysieren und zu reflektieren.
