Die Analysis beschäftigt sich grob gesprochen mit Größen, die sich in Abhängigkeit von anderen Größen stetig ändern. Im ersten Semester werden wir uns dabei auf die Abhängigkeit von einer Variablen beschränken. In diesem Zusammenhang erhält die Geschwindigkeit einen genauen Sinn. Zur Vorbereitung muss man vor allem den Begriffen der reellen Zahl und des Grenzwertes auf den Grund gehen. Dabei werden Sie sich an eine Denkweise gewöhnen, die von Genauigkeit und Sparsamkeit der Aussagen und Gedankengänge geprägt ist. Gleichzeitig erfordert das Finden von Beweisen Vorstellungskraft und Schöpfertum. Diese Fähigkeiten bilden die Grundlage für das gesamte weitere Studium der Mathematik.
