Politischer Wandel ist ein Kernaspekt der westeuropäischen Geschichte des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts. Die historische Orientierung diskutiert die Frage, durch welche gesellschaftlichen Konfliktlinien der Prozess politischer Wandel geprägt und auf welche Weise diese artikuliert wurde. Auf der Basis der Lektüre klassischer Texte und verschiedener Quellen wird das politische Denken des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts zum „Wandel des Politischen“ diskutiert. Die Auswahl der Texte und des Quellenkorpus stehen im Zusammenhang mit dem Seminar „Konservatismus und konservative Denker“ und werden am Anfang des Semesters bereitgestellt.
