Wie kann es aussehen, ein Theater, das nicht mehr dem Primat des dramatischen Textes folgt? Was ist Theater, das nicht mehr vordringlich Figuren repräsentiert oder mimetische Handlungsverläufe zum Gegenstand hat? Kurz: Wie kann ein Theater nach dem Drama aussehen?
Seit den 1960er Jahren gehen Theaterschaffende und AutorInnen diesen Fragen nach und erproben intensiv neue Theaterkonzepte und ästhetische Mittel jenseits der 'traditionellen' Aufführungspraxis. Seit den späten 1980er Jahren wird das postdramatische Theater auch Gegenstand wissenschaftlicher Auseinandersetzung.
In diesem Seminar werden wir uns mit dem vielschichtigen Feld des postdramatischen Theaters beschäftigen. Wir werden sowohl theoretische Zugänge zum Themenkomplex der Postdramatik als auch unterschiedliche künstlerische Umsetzungen in den Blick nehmen.
