Educational Sciences (Advanced Secondary and Comprehensive Schools) provides a sound knowledge of teaching in ambitious learning contexts. Students gain an insight into educational and social theories, developing an understanding of the diverse requirements of school practice in the process.

The Faculty of Educational Science offers students application-oriented teaching and the linking of theory and practice. From the outset, the first internship enables students to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical school experience (‘Orientierende Praxisstudie’). Students experience school from a new perspective, reflecting on their actions in a theory-led way and analysing their suitability. In a second internship, students broaden their view of the professional field of school to a more holistic, professional perspective (‘Berufsfeldbezogene Praxisstudie’).

The Bachelor's degree prepares students for the Master of Education and, at the same time, opens up perspectives in various educational professions.
