300452 Zwischen Politik und Ästhetik: eine Einführung in Jacques Rancière (S) (SoSe 2025)

Jacques Rancière ist ein zentraler politiktheoretischer und philosophischer Autor der Gegenwart. Insbesondere durch sein Demokratie- und Gleichheitsverständnis sowie seiner Differenzierung zwischen Politik und Polizei tritt er in aktuellen Debatten immer wieder in Erscheinung. Das Seminar möchte dies zum Anlass nehmen sich tiefergehend mit Rancière und seinem Werk zu beschäftigen. Dabei ermöglicht das Blockformat es Werke ganz (und nicht nur ausschnitthaft) lesen zu können: Das Unvernehmen (La Mésentente 1995), Der unwissende Lehrmeister (Le maître ignorant 1987) und Der emanzipierte Zuschauer (Le spectateur émancipé 2008).

Begriffe, mit denen er operiert sollen im Seminar geordnet, Entwicklungen seines Denkens nachgezeichnet sowie auf Kritiken und Erweiterungen seines Denkansatzes geblickt werden.

Das Seminar wird im Blockformat stattfinden, sprich nach einer einführenden Sitzung wird es zwei zweitages-Sitzungen geben.
