Sowohl die architektonische Gestaltung des Schulgebäudes als auch die Einrichtung und Gestaltung des einzelnen Unterrichtsraumes haben unmittelbaren Einfluss auf das Leben und Lernen in der Schule. Dieser pädagogischen Bedeutung des Raumes in der Schule wollen wir daher im Seminar auf theoretischer wie praktischer Ebene nachspüren: So werden wir uns zunächst mit Theorie und Geschichte des „pädagogischen Raumes“ auseinandersetzen, danach die Chancen und Schwierigkeiten pädagogischer Schulentwicklungsprozessen in Sachen „Schulbau“ analysieren und uns im Anschluss – unter anderem im Rahmen von Exkursionen – konkrete Beispiele von Schulbauten in Bielefeld und Umgebung ansehen.
