Susan Sontags Essay Anmerkungen zu Camp beschreibt auf brillante und amüsante Weise ein ästhetisches Sonderbewußtsein der Moderne. Der camp ist ein Nachfahre des Dandy. Er hält sich aber kein parfümiertes Taschentuch mehr vor die Nase, sondern saugt den Gestank der modernen Zeiten ein und rühmt sich seiner guten Nerven.
Im Seminar soll der von Susan Sontag inszenierte kulturelle Raum des camp in Betrachtung verschiedener Medien (Literatur, Film, comic, Musik u.a.m.) rekonstruiert werden.
