Leitfrage: "GIBT ES EINEN NUTZEN DER THEORIE FÜR DIE PRAXIS?"
Aktuell lässt sich als Zweck von "Theorie" der Nutzen des "Vor-und Nachdenkens von Praxis" anführen (Baricelli/Lücke, 2012). Dabei sollte gelten: "so viel Praxisbezug wie möglich, soviel Theorie wie nötig" (Sauer, 2008). Es wird zu prüfen sein, inwiefern die seit Mitte der 70er Jahre verwissenschaftlichte FACHDIDAKTIK GESCHICHTE theoretisch klärend und praktisch innovativ ihren Anspruch erfüllen kann, auch angesichts zunehmender institutioneller Vorgaben (G8, KLP, Ganztag) eine Hilfe für Menschen zu sein, die sich für den Lehrerberuf entschieden haben. Im Fazit wird festzuhalten sein, dass "Theorie in der Didaktik nur so viel taugt, wie sie der Praxis hilft" (Rohlfes 1999).
