Der eurasische Raum war spätestens seit dem 5. Jahrhundert v. Chr. und dann verstärkt mit dem Aufstieg des römischen und chinesischen Weltreiches über weitreichenmde territoriale und maritime Handelskontakte miteinander vernetzt. Die Übung setzt sich mit einschlägigen Quellen auseinander, der diese Vernetzungen und Kontakte dokumentieren. Alle Quellen werden in deutscher und englischer Übersetzung präsentiert
