Die in der Diskussion über Soziale Arbeit häufig genannte - vereinfachende - Gegenüberstellung von 'Hilfe und Kontrolle' verweist bereits auf Machtverhältnisse in der Sozialen Arbeit. Im Seminar werden wir uns damit befassen, in welcher Weise Soziale Arbeit Macht 'ausübt': durch offenen Zwang einerseits, aber auch subtiler und ggf. ungewollt. Wir werden Macht als etwas kennenlernen, das für soziale Praxis konstitutiv ist und diskutieren, was diese 'Unhintergehbarkeit' von Macht für pädagogisches Handeln bedeutet.
Studienleistungen können durch Inputreferate zum Seminartext und die Vorbereitung von Diskussionsfragen erworben werden.
