Das Seminar zielt darauf ab, Studierenden der Erziehungswissenschaft grundlegendes theoretisches Wissen und Praxiskompetenzen für Gewaltschutzberatung zu vermitteln. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei Häusliche Gewalt. Inhalte des Seminars sind Formen und Folgen von Gewalterfahrungen, internationale Menschenrechtsabkommen, gesetzliche Regelungen und Polizeirichtlinien in der BRD, qualitative und quantitative Studienergebnisse und Deutungsmuster zu Gewalt in Paarbeziehungen, Konzepte der Akutintervention und Gewaltschutzberatung sowie der Täterberatung. In Kleingruppenarbeit und praxisbezogenen Übungen soll eine Annäherung und Selbstreflexion der eigenen Haltung an Gewaltschutzberatung erfolgen.
