Das Ministerium für Schule und Weiterbildung NRW sieht sog. Vorbereitungs-/ Auffangklassen als systemimmanente Umgangsweise für die "schulische Betreuung" von Kindern und Jugendlichen vor, die qua FluchtMigration nach Deutschland migrieren. Diese ad hoc Reaktion auf die hohe Zahl geflüchteter Kinder und Jugendlicher ist der Bundesrepublik nicht neu und geht auf das Konzept der Ausländerpädagogik zurück, dass umfassend als defizitorientiert kritisiert ist. Die tatsächliche pädagogisch-konzeptionelle Umsetzung der sog. Vorbereitungs-/Auffangklassen erscheint in einer ersten Sichtung der Schulkonzepte als äußerst divers. Das Seminar setzt an dieser Stelle an und nimmt sich zum Ziel einen systematisierenden Überblick über die den Konzepten inhärenten Konstruktionen der 'Anderen' zu erlangen. Dafür wird zunächst eine migrationspädagogische Perspektive sensu Mecheril erarbeitet. Daran schließt die Auseinandersetzung mit der migrationsbezogenen Professionshistorie und die (rassismuskritische) Erarbeitung der aktuellen (deutsch-)gesellschaftlichen Debatten um FluchtMigration an, um im Anschluss die Schulkonzepte zu analysieren.
