This course is essentially for future primary school teachers and deals with the specific challenges to be faced when communicating with learners at such an early stage in an EFL classroom. This includes reviewing specific "classroom phrases", thinking about several activity types (narrating, explaining, initiating an activity and others), how to treat "mistakes" and other important aspects of the primary school EFL classroom. The centre of this course will be simulated micro-teachings which will be video-taped, analysed and reflected together.
