Im Kontext gegenwärtiger Debatten zu den Möglichkeiten und Grenzen globaler Gouvernanz wird globalen Politiknetzwerken das Potential zu einer besonders leistungsfähigen Problembearbeitung zugeschrieben. Erwartet wird eine Steigerung der Effektivität und Effizienz, aber auch der demokratischen Legitimation des Regierens jenseits des Nationalstaats. Die Veranstaltung ist darauf ausgelegt, unterschiedliche Dimensionen globaler Politiknetzwerke zu beleuchten und anhand von Fallbeispielen die Leistungen wichtiger Organisationen und institutioneller Arrangements innerhalb spezifischer Policy-Felder (z.B. Umwelt, Finanzen, Gesundheit) zu analysieren.
Der Veranstaltungsplan und eine Liste mit veranstaltungsrelevanten Texten werden den TeilnehmerInnen Anfang Oktober zur Verfügung gestellt.
