Das Seminar führt zunächst in die geographische Auswertung von topographischen Karten und Luftbildern ein. Als Beispiele werden für Deutschland charakteristische Natur - und Kulturlandschaften ausgewählt. Anschließend sollen didaktisch/methodische Fragestellungen zur Einführung in das Kartenverständnis in der Primarstufe (Sachunterricht) erörtert werden.

1. Elemente einer topographischen Karte
2. Marsch - Moor - Geest (Nordd. Tiefebene)
3. Harzrand bei Seesen (Mittelgebirge)
4. Lüneburger Heide (Vergleich 1900 - 2000)
5. Stadtkarten
6. Das Südwestdeutsche Schichtstufenland
7. Alpenvorland und Alpen
8. Wege in das Kartenverständnis (Sachunterricht der Primarstufe)
9. Spezialfragen zur Einführung in das Kartenverständnis (z.B. Höhenverhältnisse; vom Luftbild zur Karte)
