Das Seminar soll einen exemplarischen Einblick in die Vielfalt des lateinischen Mittelalters geben, inhaltlich (Liebesdichtung, moralisch-satirische Dichtung etc.) wie formal (rhythmische und metrische Formen).

Contents, comment

Die lateinische Lyrik des Hochmittelalters, besonders des 12. Jahrhunderts, ist geprägt von einer großen inhaltlichen und formalen Vielfalt. Neben metrischen Stücken nimmt dabei die rhythmische Dichtung großen Raum ein. Das Seminar soll in der Beschäftigung mit diesen Texten zugleich einen Einblick in und Zugang zu der Eigenart mittellateinischer Literatur vermitteln. Dazu werden neben Beispielen aus Gedichtsammlungen, allen voran den bekannten Carmina Burana, auch bekannte Dichterpersönlichkeiten (z.B. Marbod von Rennes, Hildebert von Lavardin oder Petrus von Blois) behandelt.
