In this seminar, we will explore statistical methods by going beyond the surface of numbers reported in research papers. Students will gain hands-on experience working with open data to replicate results from published research papers to learn how statistical results are obtained and interpreted. In the process, the students will sharpen their eye for statistics and gain skills to find the appropriate statistical methods for their research needs. A working knowledge of Python is needed to take part in the course.
