230737 Englisch: Academic Writing III: Essay Writing (S) (WiSe 2026/2027)

A continuation of Academic Writing I & II; we will continue with research paper skills like abstracts, hedging, and conciseness for science writing. You will get a chance to write about your own field and get feedback from a professional English writer.

Core skills you'll develop:
- Effective topic sentences that guide readers through your arguments
- Focused paragraphs that stay on point without digressions
- Smooth transitions between ideas and sections
- English academic argumentation style (direct, evidence-based, reader-friendly)

This course is right for you if:
- Your written English is a B2 level or higher
- You want extensive writing practice with personalized feedback on your own academic topics

Please note: This is an online course! All meetings will take place on Zoom.
