230725 Englisch: English Vocabulary Building and Conversation, level B2 (S) (WiSe 2026/2027)

Contents, comment

Through a variety of activities and approaches, this course focuses on helping participants build their general active and passive vocabulary in order to enable a better range of expression. While vocabulary is the main focus of the class, learning is contextualized within communicative exercises and activities, thus providing an environment for practising general English communication skills at the pre-advanced level as well.

To successfully pass the course, the following criteria must be met:
1. Regular class participation and engagement with, and participation in, all class-related activities.
2. Weekly homework for expanding and using vocabulary in context
3. Introducing, chairing and concluding a discussion of the chairperson´s choice (Einzelleistung)
