In this class, we will practice the tools of literary analysis and interpretation by taking a closer look at (some of) Shakespeare's sonnets and plays.
I recommend that you attend Basis 2.1 "Introduction to Literary Analysis and Interpretation" first before attending this class.
Please buy or borrow a copy of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice: I recommend the Oxford World's Classics version edited by Jay L. Halio or the New Cambridge Shakespeare version edited by M.M.Mahood.
Please note that school editions, Klett parallel German/English editions, or random internet versions are NOT acceptable for scholarly work.
