This five-day course covers advanced topics for working with the statistical programming language R. The content is explained in a clear, accessible way and put into practice immediately through hands-on exercises.
The course covers the following topics:
- Estimating linear and generalized additive models in R
- Version control with Git and GitHub in RStudio
- Designing and conducting simulation studies in R
- Efficient programming, debugging, and profiling
- Speeding up computationally intensive R code with Rcpp
- Developing interactive applications in R
- Organising R code in packages
Participants are asked to bring their own laptop to the course.

Participants should be familiar with the basics of R and have a basic knowledge of statistics at the Bachelor's level.
