230569 Arbeitsfelder rund ums Buch (BS) (SoSe 2016)

Germanistikstudium beendet – und was dann? Viele zieht es in die Buchbranche, doch wie sehen die Arbeitsfelder dort eigentlich aus? Das Blockseminar gibt Einblicke in die Berufspraxis von AutorInnen, LektorInnen, ProduktmanagerInnen, TexterInnen, HerstellerInnen, BuchhändlerInnen. – „BücherFrauen“ vermitteln praktisches Wissen aus der Branche:

  • Vom Bücherschreiben leben … ? – Die Autorin und der Buchmarkt;
  • Werbetexte für Bücher: Handwerkszeug fürs Schreiben von Waschzetteln bis zu Klappentexten;
  • Von der Programmplanung zum Erscheinungstermin: Auswahlkriterien und Akquirieren von Manuskripten, Kalkulation und Vertragsschluss, Publikation;
  • Von der Rohfassung zum fertigen Manuskript: Zielgruppe, Textkonsistenz, stilistische Bearbeitung, Autorenkommunikation;
  • Herstellung: vom chaotischen Manuskript zum schönen Buch – Layout, Bildsprache und viel Organisatorisches;
  • Buchhandel: „Verdient wird nicht an der Kasse, sondern am Schreibtisch.“ Nach welchen Kriterien und mit welchen Hilfsmitteln stellen wir das (Herbst-)Sortiment zusammen?
