Die Familie steht vielfach in der Kritik und gilt zugleich als unverzichtbar für gelingendes Aufwachsen. Insbesondere für die Schule kommt ihr eine wesentliche Rolle zu. In dieser Veranstaltung geht es um grundlegende Erkenntnisse über Geschichte, Wandel, Probleme, Leistungen und Beziehungen der Familie. Diese werden systematisch erarbeitet und diskutiert. Ein besonderes Augenmerk liegt dabei auf der Bedeutung der Familie für die Schule und umgekehrt. Darüber hinaus geht es um eine neue Sichtweise auf Familie im gegenwärtigen internationalen gesellschafts- und sozialpolitischen Wandel.
