Student information

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.

The "Studienleistung" for this course consists of weekly writing assignments that will be handed in by e-mail before the next class meeting. These will be corrected and then discussed in the next class meeting. The goal of the course is for you to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of your written expression in English. This can only be accomplished with plenty of hands-on practice. At least 70% of the specified written tasks must be completed for the Studienleistung. Students will collect their corrected papers in a portfolio and include a running log of their mistakes with corrections which they will add to week by week to be handed in at the end of the semester.
