- Das Blockpraktikum bietet Medizinstudierenden einen praxisnahen Einblick in die Diagnostik und Therapie von Epilepsien. Die Studierenden arbeiten eng mit der klinischen Versorgung zusammen und erleben den diagnostischen und therapeutischen Prozess aus erster Hand.

Ablauf und Inhalte
Den Studierenden wird zu Beginn des Praktikums ein Mentor aus dem ärztlichen Team zugewiesen. Gemeinsam mit diesem begleiten sie einen Patientin durch alle wesentlichen Schritte der stationären Versorgung:
• Aufnahmegespräch und klinische Einschätzung
• Diagnostische Maßnahmen
• Befundinterpretation
• Interdisziplinäre Fallbesprechung
• Therapieplanung und VerlaufskontrolleÜber den gesamten Zeitraum erstellen die Studierenden einen schriftlichen Verlaufsbericht. Dieser dient gleichzeitig als Prüfungsleistung.
Praktische Untersuchungsverfahren
Die Studierenden erhalten Einblick in zentrale diagnostische Methoden der Epileptologie und können einige dieser Verfahren unter Anleitung auch an sich selbst ausprobieren:• EEG-Anlage und Auswertung
• MRT
• fMRT (funktionelles MRT Sprache)
• Neuropsychologische Diagnostik
• fTCD (funktionelle transkranielle Dopplersonographie zur Sprachlateralisation
• Wada-Test (invasives Verfahren zur Sprachlateralisation, Beobachtung)
• Teilnahme an Ambulanztagen
• Visiten auf der Station
• Begleitung eines kompletten Behandlungsfalls
• Schriftlicher Verlaufsbericht über den betreuten Fall, inklusive Diagnostik, Befunden, Therapieansätzen und reflektierter Beurteilung.Lernziele
• Verständnis der klinischen Diagnostik und Therapie epileptischer Erkrankungen
• Einblick in interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit in der Epileptologie
• Praktische Erfahrung mit zentralen Untersuchungsverfahren
• Vertiefung kommunikativer und klinischer Kompetenzen in der Patientenbetreuung
