230354 Historische Dramen: Modellierungen und Vergangenheiten (S) (SoSe 2016)

Im Übergang vom 18. zum 19. Jahrhundert erfolgt eine umfassende Historisierung von Denk- und Darstellungsweisen. Auf der Grundlage der umfangreichen Forschung und am Beispiel kanonischer Dramen sollen die Folgen dieses grundlegenden Wandels im Hinblick auf aktuelle Konzepte und Forschungsergebnisse diskutiert werden. Im Zentrum stehen dabei die Zeitverhältnisse und Realitätsauffassungen. Was versteht man unter Historisierung und Historismus? Welche Rolle spielt in diesem Prozess das Drama? Wie lässt sich Vergangenheit vergegenwärtigen? Wie stellt man vergangene Wirklichkeit auf der Bühne dar? Um diese Fragen zu beantworten, werden auch Bezüge zu parallelen Entwicklungen in anderen Künsten (Malerei) und den historischen Wissenschaften hergestellt.
