220115 Geschichte der modernen Geschichtswissenschaft: Wie wurden wir, wer wir sind? (S) (SoSe 2026)

Das Seminar behandelt die Genese der Geschichtswissenschaft als moderne Wissenschaftsdisziplin im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert in chronologischer Perspektive. Schwerpunkte bilden geschichtsphilosophische Ansätze und Historismus im 19. Jahrhundert, strukturalistische Ansätze des 20. Jahrhunderts und die Ausdifferenzierung des Fachs infolge der „kulturhistorischen Wende“ in den letzten 50 Jahren. Das Seminar soll die Studierenden befähigen, die Geschichte der eigenen Fachdisziplin nachzuvollziehen und dadurch die Standortgebundenheit des eigenen wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens zu reflektieren.
