Dieses forschungsorientierte Seminar geht anhand von archivalischen Materialien dem Phänomen der Globalisierung in einem sehr konkreten Fall nach: der Ausdehnung des Volkswagen-Konzerns in den Bereichen Distribution und Produktion in den Nachkriegsjahrzehnten.
Das Seminar wird in einer ersten Serie von vier Sitzungen theoretische und methodische Grundlagen für die archivalische Feldforschung erarbeiten, die dann gegen Ende des Semesters in einem etwa eine Woche dauernden Block im Konzernarchiv bzw. der Abteilung Historische Kommunikation der Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg erfolgen soll.
