Was ist Licht? Eine gute Frage und gar nicht so leicht zu beantworten.
Das Wechselspiel zwischen Materie und elektromagnetischer Strahlung ist vielfältig und für viele Anwendungen in Technik und Forschung von entscheidender Bedeutung. Im Rahmen dieser Veranstaltung werden nach einer Einführung in die Grundlagen der Optik aktuelle Entwicklungen behandelt. Unter anderem sind folgende Themenschwerpunkte vorgesehen: Ultrakurzzeitspektroskopie und nichtlineare Optik, Erzeugung von weicher Röntgenstrahlung und deren Anwendung, Photonische Kristalle und Metamaterialien und Nahfeldoptik.
