"Warum soll ich moralisch sein?" Wir erleben, dass moralische Ansprüche an uns gestellt werden, die uns Beschränkungen auferlegen - und fragen uns, weshalb wir etwas tun sollten, was unseren eigenen Interessen widerspricht. Bei Personen, die nur situationsbezogen einen Konflikt zwischen Moral und Selbstinteresse wahrnehmen, aber auf dem Boden der Moral stehen, werden solche Überlegungen mutmaßlich keine besondere Rolle spielen. Was aber ist mit denen, die grundsätzlich zweifeln, ob sie sich als moralisch handelnde Menschen begreifen wollen? Sie stellen die Geltung moralischer Vorschriften prinzipiell in Frage. Im Seminar werden wir klassische und zeitgenössische Versuche behandeln, auf diese Herausforderung durch den Amoralisten eine Antwort zu finden, und diskutieren, ob es überhaupt möglich ist, Moral zu begründen.
Eine Leistungsbescheinigung (BA- oder Master of Education-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für eine selbstständige Ausarbeitung (von ungefähr 5 Seiten) zu einem der im Seminar berührten Punkte.
Ein Leistungsnachweis (Magister- oder Lehramts-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für eine Hausarbeit.

Magister- und Lehramts-Studiengänge: Zwischenprüfung.
