Im Seminar werden einführend zentrale Begriffe wie global, international und transnational unter Bezugnahme auf ihren wissenschafts- und gesellschaftstheoretischen Diskurskontext erörtert und systematisiert. Daran anschließend liegt der inhaltliche Schwerpunkt auf der kritisch-reflexiven Betrachtung der Internationalisierung des tertiären Bildungsbereichs, wobei bildungs- und hochschulpolitische Voraussetzungen diskutiert werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund gehen wir der Bedeutung globalisierter Ungleichheitsverhältnisse im Hochschulraum nach und fragen nach ihrer Relevanz für Bildung.
