Für eine empirische Masterarbeit oder ein Forschungsprojekt sind eigene Daten (Primärdaten) kein Muss. Im Gegenteil: Die Nutzung bestehender, professionell erhobener Datensätze (Sekundärdaten) bietet oft eine deutlich höhere Datenqualität und Stichprobengröße, als es im Rahmen einer studentischen Arbeit selbst leistbar wäre.
In diesem Seminar erschließen wir diese Ressourcen für die studentische Forschung. Im Seminar wird vermittelt, wie Sie auf umfangreiche Datenbanken der Sozial- und Bildungsforschung zugreifen und diese für Ihre eigenen Fragestellungen fruchtbar machen können.Der Kursinhalt im Fokus:
- Sichtung relevanter Datenquellen und Archive.
- Bewertung der Daten hinsichtlich ihrer Eignung für erziehungswissenschaftliche Themen.
- Praktische Anwendung und Auswertung mittels statistischer Analysesoftware.
