Das Seminar widmet sich der Frage, wie die Cultural Studies das erziehungswissenschaftliche Denken beeinflusst haben und welche theoretischen wie praktischen Konsequenzen daraus entstehen.
Hierbei werden wir uns insbesondere der Frage stellen, welche Potenziale sich aus kulturtheoretischer und machtkritischer Perspektiven für die Erziehungswissenschaft ergeben – und wo ihre Grenzen liegen.Wir werden hierfür in die gemeinsame Lektüre zentraler Texte sowie deren diskursive Diskussion eintauchen und disziplinäre Grenzen kritisch reflektieren. So wollen wir uns mit Hilfe eines Methodenmix der Frage nähern, inwiefern kulturtheoretische und machtkritische Ansätze produktiv in erziehungswissenschaftliche Fragestellungen einzubetten sind und was diese Anregungen für die pädagogische Praxis bedeuten.
