In dieser Lehrveranstaltung setzen wir den Fokus auf den Konnex von Körper und Gesundheit als zentrale semantische Elemente von Gouvernementalität, Bioökonomie und Medizinkritik.
Im Rahmen der Seminardiskussion werden dabei Selbsthilfekonzepte ins Verhältnis zu Geschlechteranalysen gesetzt. Der Einstieg in die Seminarthematik wird über die Verknüpfung von Körperpolitik und sozialer Rahmung von Geschlechterhierarchien erfolgen, um später aus den Spektren medizinischer Selbsthilfe ins Gespräch zu kommen über Risikokonzepte, Gesundheitsförderung und Prozedural Management.
Die Themenfelder Schwangerschaft, Geburt und Reproduktionstechnologien sind dabei zentral, wenn es um die Diskussion von vergeschlechtlichten Schieflagen innerhalb von Körper- und Gesundheitskonzepte (neo)liberaler Managementpolitiken geht.
Der Spannungsbogen zwischen dem rahmengebenden Seminarthema und den Einzelvertiefungen wird zur gemeinsamen Reflexion und Kritik anregen. Bereitschaft zu umfangreicher gemeinsamer Lektüre (auch englischsprachig) wird vorausgesetzt.
