Nach einer Einführung in die Periodisierung und regionale Differenzierung des Frühneuhochdeutschen (1350-1650) werden die Grundlagen der Sprachstufe vermittelt. Dies betrifft Schreibung und Lautung (Vokalismus der Stamm- und Nebensilben, Konsonantismus), die Flexion der Verben und Substantive, Syntax (Nominalgruppe, Verbkomplex, Nebensätze) und die Großschreibung und Interpunktion. Es folgen Analysen zu den hauptsächlichen Schreibsprachen des Spätmittelalters und den Druckersprachen der Frühdruckzeit (bis 1500). Das letzte Drittel des Seminars wird sich ausschließlich den Schreib- und Druckersprachenmerkmalen von ausgewählten Urkunden und literarischen Texten widmen. Vorkenntnisse im Mittelhochdeutschen sind von Nutzen und sollten daher (wo nicht vorhanden) vor Beginn des Seminars eigenständig angeeignet worden sein (z.B. mithilfe von Bergmann/Pauly: Alt- und Mittelhochdeutsch. Arbeitsbuch zur Grammatik. 2004).
Leistungsnachweis: Hausarbeit.
