Wissenschafts- und Erkenntnistheorie dient zum einen dazu, Regeln für wissenschaftliches Arbeiten aufzustellen, zum anderen soll sie dazu verhelfen, wissenschaftliches Denken und Forschen reflektierend zu begleiten. Einige wissenschafts- und erkenntnistheoretische Grundfragen sollen anhand ausgewählter Texte behandelt werden, u. a.:
· Wissenschaft und Werturteil
· Erkenntnistheoretischer Realismus und Nominalismus
· Nomologische und historische Erklärung
· Die Wissenssoziologie und ihre erkenntnistheoretischen Konsequenzen
· Konstruktivismus als Erkenntnistheorie
· Empirische Daten und die ¿Objektivität¿ wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnis
