230378 Betreuungsseminar für die Berufsfeldbezogene Praxisstudie (BPSt) im Fach Anglistik (GymGe, HRSGe, HRSGe/ISP) (S) (SoSe 2026)

This seminar prepares for and accompanies the 'Berufsfeldbezogene Praxisstudie' (BPSt) in the course of your English studies. It can only be taken in the context of the BPSt and is obligatory for this practical. The course aims to provide you with the basics you need to support your groups of pupils: diagnostic testing, basics of lesson planning, material design, classroom management and differentiation, providing feedback, … At the end of the semester, you will be expected to hand in a final report, usually a case study on the project work.

In English, the BPSt involves a cooperation project with different schools. The seminar prepares for a placement at these schools, which will take place once a week during the term. In the school placement, you will mostly be supervising groups of pupils in the form of project work. Depending on the group of pupils, this can e.g. involve helping students with special needs or low L2 proficiency.

The time of the bi-weekly Begleitseminar can vary depending on the school you choose. Bernard Brašnjić offers his seminar (related to the cooperations at Martin-Niemöller-Gesamtschule, Ceciliengymnasium and Oberstufenkolleg) at the indicated time.
