Literaturarchive und Literaturmuseen gehören zu den klassischen Berufsfeldern von Literaturwissenschaftler*innen. Auf einige Sitzungen (vierzehntägig) in Bielefeld soll ein Block im Gleimhaus in Halberstadt folgen. Dort können die berufsspezifischen Tätigkeiten in einem bedeutenden Literaturarchiv und Literaturmuseum, dessen historischer Schwerpunkt im 18. Jahrhundert liegt, konkret studiert werden. Die Leiterin des Gleimhauses, Frau Dr. Ute Pott, wird uns eine Einführung geben, danach bekommen die Studierenden eigene Arbeitsaufträge und können sich unter Anleitung mit den im Gleimhaus gesammelten Materialien (Manuskripten, Buchdrucken, Zeitschriften etc.) beschäftigen. Dazwischen finden weitere Seminarsitzungen in Räumen des Gleimhauses statt. Die Organisation des Blockseminars in Halberstadt findet in der ersten Seminarsitzung des SS 2026 statt.
Den Teilnehmer*innen ist die sinnvolle Kombination dieser Lehrverstaltung mit dem vom selben Veranstalter wöchentlich angebotenen Masterseminars zur "Poetik der Freundschaft" in der Literatur der Aufklärung und Empfindsamkeit (Freitag, 10-12 Uhr) empfohlen.
