In this module, you have to attend History of the English Language PLUS two further lectures of your choice.
The oral exam (3 x 7 minutes) will take place in the last week of teaching (###July 2026) and in the HowToEnglish week of WS 2026/27 (### October).

The second exam cluster will be in the HowToEnglish week of the winter semester 2026/27. The registration window for this will be between # and # September 2026.

Requirements for participation, required level

Students in the 2022 FsB have to have passed both parts of the Language Proficiency Test (oral and written) before they can take part in *any* profile classes.
You are strongly urged *not* to attend History of the English Language before you have completed Basis3.1 and Basis3.2.
You are equally strongly urged *not* to attend British Literature or American Literature before you have completed Basis2.1 and Basis2.2 or Basis2.3.
