Studierende 0
Die Studierenden kennen die Bedeutung der Fehlfaltung und Aggregation von Proteinen als Ursache und Begleiterscheinung von pathologischen Prozessen. Sie haben eine Vorstellung von den Methoden zur Sekundärstrukturbestimmung und Verfolgung der Aggregation.
Am Beispiel des Morbus Alzheimer werden die Bedeutung von Proteinfehlfaltungen und die resultierende Aggregation von Proteinen als Begleiterscheinung oder Ursache von Erkrankungen behandelt. Methoden zur Bestimmung von Sekundärstruktur und Verfolgung der Aggregation wie Infrarotspektroskopie werden vorgestellt und im Labor demonstriert. Der Nutzen von Prognostik anhand von Aggregaten wird kritisch diskutiert.
