Fundierte Kenntnisse medizinischer Terminologie sind dabei die Grundlage für alle übergeordneten und krankheitsbezogenen Lernziele im Studium, die eine Verwendung medizinischer Terminologie voraussetzen, wie etwa das Erklären und Erläutern normaler Struktur und Funktion auf wissenschaftlicher Grundlage unter Verwendung medizinischer Terminologie (vgl. NKLM VII.1a-01). Fundierte Kenntnisse medizinischer Terminologie sind ebenso Grundlage für alle zukünftige fachsprachliche Kommunikation. Die Studierenden können Aspekte der medizinischen Fachsprache theoretisch und historisch einordnen und haben sich die Grundlagen für das folgende Selbststudium angeeignet.

Die Studierenden

  • können die medizinische Fachsprache theoretisch und historisch einordnen.
  • kennen die Grundlagen für das wissenschaftliche Erklären und Verstehen normaler Strukturen und Funktionen unter Verwendung medizinischer Terminologie.
  • können die Grundlagen eigenständig im Rahmen des Selbststudiums der medizinischen Terminologie erweitern.


Die Vorlesung führt in den Themenkomplex der medizinischen Terminologie ein und vermittelt grundlegende Kenntnisse zum Aufbau und Gebrauch medizinischer Fachsprache. Neben einer theoretischen und historischen Einordnung liegt der Fokus auf Hinweisen zu geeigneten Materialien, Ressourcen und Lernstrategien für das Selbststudium der medizinischen Terminologie.
