Somatoforme Störungen sind gekennzeichnet durch körperliche Symptome, die nicht oder nicht ausreichend durch eine organische Erkrankung erklärbar sind. Hierbei handelt es sich um häufige Krankheitsbilder bei denen prinzipiell jedes Körpersymptom möglich ist, somit treten diese Krankheitsbilder in allen medizinischen Fachdisziplinen auf. Die Studierenden sollen lernen wie sie körperliche Symptome einschätzen lernen, welche diagnostischen Maßnahmen erforderlich sind v.a. im Spannungsfeld von \"zu viel Diagnostik\" versus \"zu wenig Diagnostik\", aber auch wie der Umgang mit Betroffenen sein kann und welche Handlungsnotwendigkeiten sich hieraus ergeben.
Die Studierenden lernen etwas zur Symptomatik, Epidemiologie, Diagnostik und Differenzialdiagnostik, Erklärungsmodellen der Entstehung und Aufrechterhaltung, Therapieplanung und Behandlungsmöglichkeiten somatoformer Störungen.
